25 Years of Jonathan Green Exhibit to be in Myrtle Beach
The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum will be displaying 25 Years of Jonathan Green through January 3, 2010. The exhibition of 21 works, which are part of the Art Museum’s Permanent Collection, will be showcased in the newly named Grace Martin Matlock Education Galleries, donated by Ms. Lily Grace M. Hudson in honor of her mother. 25 Years of Jonathan Green, which is a part of the Barbara Burgess-John Dinkelspiel Collection of Southern Art, was compiled by the retired Boston professional couple who settled in the Lowcountry in 1996, fell in love with the region’s art and culture and began their collection with the work of native South Carolinian Jonathan Green. Regular gallery hours for the exhibit are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday.
